Because of the relation between engineering and social science, one of the fields that fall within music technology is Professional Music Recordings (PMR). Recording methods and respective classification studies about PMR have been already discussed apart from the work on techniques and equipments. The method selected for the recording promotes the quality of product and lays to groundwork for a relation between the sound engineer and consumer. In this study, the recording methods for PMR are classified. Related works about the structure of audio recording chain in historical background as a determining factor are researched and a new point of view has been improved. In the result of this study, the methods which are formed considering style/manner of musician either in the studio or on the stage are classified as real-time stereo, real-time mixing stereo and overdubbing.
