CAUSAL DIMENSIONS OF AXIS SHIFT DISCUSSIONS IN TURKISH FOREIGN POLICY AFTER 2000

States’ foreign policy activities have reached a global dimension at 21. century. At the beginning of new century, Turkish Foreign Policy has entered into a new development and discussion area with economy politic in the first instance axis shift. In these arguments, it is required to evaluate Turkish Foreign Policy’s action ways with its recent past. Axis shift in terms of Turkish Foreign Policy action is meaning a change for someone, but for others it means an intersection or unification at new and past. Turkish Foreign Policy which have subjected to different evaluations with its many genetic spesifications from Ottoman Empire, has a different space at foreign policy culture with its static structure to some researchers and dynamic structure to others. Foreign policy analysis and evaluation of this mechanism which is a laboratory in international relations discipline, has shown that it is a system which can’t develop behaviour pattern at spesific conditions or has not certain borders for Turkey. Discussions’ dimension has changed with “asix shift” concept after 2000 at the foreign policy of Turkey, some competent researches have been come forward from Western researchers about this subject. In this study it is aimed to present some views about this discussions with domestic and international developments and has been evaluated with current conditions about this subject.
