BURNOUT IN NURSES

Burnout and affecting factors of burnout in nurses have been studied about 40 years all over the world. In this article, the results of the research about the burnout in nurses and the suggestions made in the direction of the results are examined. The majority of theresearchesare of descriptivetype, and the results of the semi-empirically planned research evaluating to prevent burnout have also been tried to be investigated. The research findings were grouped into the individual characteristics of the nurses and burnout relation, working environment and burnout relation. Suggestions made on the basis of research results, while trying to provide a perspective on the causality of burnout in nurses in the world and in ourcountry, this article aims to shed somelight on initiatives to prevent burnout and further work on burnout
