AWARENESS LEVEL OF THE TEACHER-TO BE STUDENTS UPON THE CHILD ABUSE

Child abuse and the child negligence has been the very center of the social problem affecting not only the families, but also the society, social institutions, legal systems, educational systems, and the business. This scientific research aims to determine the knowledgeable level of the candidates of the school psychological advisor upon the child abuse and the negligence, awareness according to the variants, and their knowledge to recognize the evidence and the risks of the child abuse. As a result, it is understood that the recognition level of the teacher to be students upon the child abuse and the negligence has been high with the average point of 292.30. It is vital that the psychological advisors be backed by the practical implementations on the topic. The graduate to be students, that is 200 students, of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Girne American University Faculty of Education, Department of Guidance and the Psychological Advisory, and that of the Pre-School Teaching composes of the work group of the research. The data gathered from the research has got analyzed at SPSS 17 program. The candidates of the psychological advisory have got the average point of 292.30 being higher than those of the pre-school teaching department upon the knowledge and the awareness level of the child abuse and the negligence as the female students have the higher level than that of the male students, and the meaningful differences of the parents subject to the negligence and the abuse have appeared.
