APPROACHES ON WATER LITERACY AND WATER FOOTPRINT

In this study, water literacy and water footprint were investigated. Human, depending on the lack of water environment, deforestation, extinction of living species faced many problems such as drought, global warming and climate changeDemand for water is increasing in cities according to population growth. We demand increasing; usage, waste and unconscious consumption habits have increased. It is our duty to use our limited natural resources consciously for our common future. Deficiencies in environmental program were approached from this perspective. Water footprint average was estimated as The world is 1.243 m3, The European Union is 1.750 m3, Turkey is also that 1.519 m3. It is very difficult to increase the green and blue category for Turkey and world. Because it is not possible to increase the water in the earth. efficient use and environmental protection measures are important on gray water.
