AN INVESTIGATION ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LEARNING STYLES OF 5TH GRADE PRİMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS AND THEIR HOMEWORK STYLES

The aim of this study is the determine of the relationship between learning styles of 5th grade primary school students and their homework styles, perceived homework achievement and attitude. The research study was a descriptive study based on the relational survey model. The sample of the study was formed of 2013 5th grade students from 24 primary schools in central districts of Adana The research data was collected with ‘‘Marmara Learning Style Scale’’ which developed by ?im?ek (2007), ‘‘Homework Motivation and Preference Questionnaire’’and ‘’Perceived Homework Achievement And Homework Attitude Scale’’ which developed by Hong and Milgram (1996) and adopted by ?flazo?lu (2005). Research findings reveals that the students prefer auditory learning style within the perceptual learning styles, have high motivation in learning process, In process of doing homework it was observed that most of the students prefer that motivated by themselves, their family and teachers . It was observed that there was positvely relationship and negatively relationship between learning styles and homework styles some sub-dimensions. It wasn't seen that there was no relationship between styles and homework styles some sub-dimensions.
