Works written to describe a town or its beautiful women are named as ?ehr-engîz in the Classical Turkish Literature. Poets write out works of the genre ?ehr-engîz in verse or prose. They also give place, in their diwans, to poems of towns they visit. In this paper, the a poem describing the town of Lâdik will be considered. The related poem takes place in diwan by Mihrî Hatun, one of our notable woman poets who lived in Amasya, a cultural center of the 15th century.
