The aim of this research is to find out which value conceptions in the Ministry of Education's Curriculum of Values Teaching Program are usually preferred in the songs, which are left for the finals in TRT's Nursery Rhymes Competition and to determine how often these conceptions are used in these songs. To this end, a total of 121 songs finalized in the Popular Nursery Rhymes Competetion since 1990 have been examined. In this study, qualitative research model was employed; the data were retrieved through document analysis method and analyzed via descriptive content analysis method. Moreover, which values are included and how often they are included were determined through frequency analysis; the results were presented in a table with their frequencies and percentages. As a result, it has been seen that in the related songs 567 times the value emphasis was made and the highest value of love was emphasized. Love is followed by friendship, solidarity, tolerance-sensitivity, optimism and the development of aesthetic feelings. It was seen that the 6 most emphasized values in the finalist songs constituted approximately 70% of the total value accents and the other values had a gap between them with the emphasis frequencies. The results were related to the literature and some suggestions were made. While the lack of studies examining children 's songs in terms of value education is in short supply, it is important that this study is the only study that examines the songs that are finalized in TRT' s Popular Nursery Rhymes Competetion in terms of value education
