AN EXAMINATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO GET SENILE’S SALARY IN RESPECT TO CERTAIN PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

By examining the life satisfaction, self esteem and perceived social support levels of the elderly under the law no 2022; sociodemographic characteristics and self-esteem which caused the difference in the characteristics of these three persons and aimed to determine the effect of perceived social support on life satisfaction. The study was carried out with the data obtained between the dates of 01.01.2017 - 01.04.2017 for 126 elderly individuals who have received old-age pension from the Directorate of Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation of Bolu province, Seben District. The obtained data were evaluated by SPSS 22.0 package program in computer environment using number, percent, frequency, t-Test, Oneway ANOVA, and multiple linear regression analysis. The study is important in terms of examining the life satisfaction, self esteem and perceived social support levels of the elderly. While policies and programs for elderly people are being developed, it is proposed to develop elderly service centers, elderly home care and support services for nursing homes and nursing homes, as well as quality aging programs for regions with socio-cultural infrastructure in the manner of the study
