Academy is the starting and production points of knowledge since the Ancient Greece. Universities have changed their shapes since the Ancient Greece but, curiosity of knowledge are still same in the world. Academics who based on curiosity and observation of development created a reflex to collect education materials of academy. This reflex demonstrates itself as collections under the universities. In the world and in our country, many universities which has been collecting many materials about education, art pieces and even fossils which was extracted during the construction period collects and classifies (rarely) in order to create a museum. In Turkey, these collections which never attaches too much importance have classified with different disciplines is afloat with the personal contributions of some people. In this article, I will examine problems or Turkish university museums in detail. In addition, these questions will tried to be answer: What are the circumstances of Turkish university museums? Why do people attach importance to Turkish university museums?
