AN ANALYSIS ON MIGRATION NEWS IN NEW MEDIA

The new media has already had the technological equipment that the media sector cannot have. Internet journalism, which is included in the new media, has enabled journalism to gain a new dimension thanks to this technological equipment. Some news themes in internet journalism have recently come to the fore. In particular, Turkey's neighbor is to remain insensitive to the problems in countries other words, in neighboring countries, opening the doors to people who had to leave for different reasons "migration" led to the emergence of the concept to the forefront. Migration movements of people wanting to migrate to Western countries through Turkey or Turkey have built an important study area. In this study, 225 news texts with the theme of migration in one month period in hurriyet.com.tr, milliyet.com.tr and yenisafak.com were analyzed with content analysis method. With the analysis, descriptive values of immigration news in internet newspapers were revealed. According to Internet newspapers, it was also found that there was a significant relationship between news subjects, the way of identifying migrants and the reasons for migration.
