AN ANALYSIS OF THE FILM “TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE” IN TERMS OF FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPTS OF EXISTENTIAL THERAPY

The aim of this study is to mention about vital concepts of existential therapy and to scrutinize the scenes relevant to these concepts in the movie titled "Tuesdays with Morrie". For this purpose, the fundamental concepts of existential therapy, which are beingin-the-world, life and death, freedom, responsibility and choices, isolation and love, meaning and meaninglessness, self-transcendence, authenticity are described, below each of which the scenes associated with the described concept are presented. It has been found appropriate to examine the movie in a supportive way according to existential therapy concepts. In this study, document / film review was used in qualitative research methods.
