ALTERNATIVE TOURISM AND ECOTOURISM ON CREATING DIVERSIFICATION OF TOURISM PRODUCT: EXAMPLE OF ŞAVŞAT

The demand increasing and intensifying together with the all inclusive system and the concept of package tour bring some negativism with themselves. The prevention of disappearance of the sources and spreading tourism into wider processes require obtaining the sustainability of tourism. Seeing that the sources of a region are scarce and expendable, it has been a must in a way to try diversifying the kinds of touristic product and services by changing the aims and wants which direct tourists to travelling. The contribution of all partners in the sector must for the sustainability of tourism. The local people, tourists and workers in the sector are the leading actors in the sustainability in tourism regions. Therefore, the opinions, attitudes and perceptions of the partners related to the issue are in a determinant position. Eliminating the negative environmental, cultural and social impacts of mass tourism is seen as the primary reason for the emergence of alternative tourism. Moreover, alternative tourism types are needed in order to use the resources effectively, spread tourism activities to all four seasons and benefit from tourism incomes throughout the year. It isessential, in recently developing nature and culture based alternative tourism types, to include the local population in the tourism activities, respect the local population and the local culture during the tourism activities and embrace sustainability. Sustainable tourism is an issue being studied quite often in recent years. In tourism sector; natural, cultural and economic sources exist among the constituents ingendering the supply. ?av?at with is natural beauties, cultural, historical and tourist facilities is one of the important center of destination. The town has supe-rior landscape values, Ecotourism movements have begun in some destinations with the traditional lifestyle of rural people, but In this potential technical sense as it can be put forward It has not been able to transform actively and widely. The research consists of the area is determination of values an important natural resource for ecotourism activities such as flora structure, fauna, water assets, topographic structure, ecological formations, the area is determination of the important cultural resources for the eco-tourism activities identification historical and religious buildings, of handicrafts and festivals that reflect the traditional structure of the town. For the planning of the ecotourism potential of the town order to performing the GZFT analysis as a result of this research; ?av?at has natural and cultural resource values have been identificated of ecotourism potential,this potential have been identi-fied, and were identified strategies.
