AGRICULTURAL PROBLEMS AND SOLUTION PROPOSALS IN POLATLI DISTRICT

In this study, the problems encountered in the agricultural activities carried out in Polatl? district and their solutions are discussed. Scaning Model was used in the research. Asemi-structured interview form was applied to the related persons in order to determine the problems in agriculture in Polatl? district and their solutions. Content analysis was used in the interpretation of the obtained data. In this study, in consequence of the interviews which is doing with the people and institutions, the participants expressed the problems related agriculture in the district as follow: high input costs, irrigation, poor agricultural subsidies, unconscious uses of soil, fertilizer and drug, poor marketing and farming workers. In the end of study these suggestions put forwarded: definition of an irrigation policy against to the problems of agriculture in the district, Gökpinar Dams project must be actualize, onion producers must establish a union to be able to solve marketing problems, agricultural industry units must set up and it must be integrated to the agriculture, and, lastly, arable lands must be banned for construction by planning how to use lands effectively.
