Guessed to be born in 231, Munis’s start of appearance on the history scene coincides with the last years of the Zenc rebellion. Having military and administrative services with his master Mu’taz?d Billah’s coming to caliphate, being exiled to Mecca in the Müktefi’s period and being allowed to return to Bagdad with Muktedir’s coming to caliphate again, Munis played an important role in Muktedir’s coming to power again. His this success was appreciated by the caliphate and at first was appointed to the Bagdad ?urta Organization and then army general commandership position. Becoming a significant power as a result of his success at military and administrative services, he became the sole authority for appointments and dismissals. Muktedir, who was disturbed by his authority on administration lost his life in the struggle he tackled against him. Munis, who desired to maintain this power also in the Billâh period lost his life in the government struggle which he undertook after the caliph didn’t allow this.
