Biography studies on veterinary medicine have started with Muzaffer Bekman in the history of veterinary medicine and continued with the works of Prof. Nihal Erk and Prof. Ferruh Dinçer and still being researched. One of the pioneers of the veterinary anatomy in Turkey, Prof. Merih Haz?ro?lu as she is known with her anatomy studies started Ankara University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1976, graduated in 1981. She acquired a Ph.D. degree in 1989, became associate professor in 1989 and professor in 1996. Prof. Dr. R. Merih Haz?ro?lu served as the president of Veterinary Anatomy Association until 2008 as she was one of the founding members. Prof. Dr. R. Merih Haz?ro?lu accomplished the establishment of Turkey’s first and only Veterinary Anatomy Museum by conducting the “Veterinary Anatomy Museum Project” in 2013. Haz?ro?lu is the first female veterinary academician in the field of veterinary anatomy, who continues her academic life as the head of the department in the same department. She carries on her work as an exemplary scientist with her background and academic studies by participating in important roles in the training of other lecturers
