In this study, human resources planning in the automotive supplier industry companies operating in Sakarya will be investigated. First of all, a literature is studied to serve as a basic for results of the empirical research. The lack of implementation of models (tools and methods) provided by literature, in the other words, literature-application gap sets a study field for us. In our empirical research, data is acquired with face to face interview method. The goal of the study is to investigate human resources planning tools/methods in automotive supplier industry companies, to examine the influence of company size on the use of specific planning tools and to develope suggestions for eliminating literature-application gap. Also, labor market and potantial of Sakarya automotive supplier industry are mentioned briefly.
