Having witnessed the many immigration event in the history of Turkey, it has undergone a massive influx of Syrian asylum seekers number in the millions to reach the last decade. In the tenth year of a mass migration at this level, asylum seekers, Turkey's influence in social structure is an important debate. The effects of Syrian asylum seekers on factors such as population, urbanization, education, health, politics and law related to social structure are experienced. This study is a descriptive situation analysis focusing on these effects. These effects are more common especially for Syrian asylum seekers. These effects are more common in metropolitan cities where Syrian asylum seekers’ are concentrated. The distance covered in ten years in the field of basic needs of asylum seekers such as food and shelter and education and health services is important. Despite these distances, those in the educational age population who do not attend school are remarkable, and the possibility of a lost generation is the most emphasized issue. Problems and dissatisfaction arising from working life are among the areas where asylum seekers caused problems. Seeing asylum seekers as cheap labor is a prominent concern for Turkish workers. These worries sometimes lead to negative attitudes towards asylum seekers. In field studies on Syrians and Turks, it is accepted by both groups that asylum seekers are permanent. The main point here is how to build a common future with Syrian asylum seekers and a culture of living together with differences. Therefore, for the asylum seeker population which will affect the next decades, it is a basic necessity to implement short-medium-long term policies based on a nonpartisan approach.
