In this paper, “A?k” novel of Elif ?afak has been analysed as semiological. It is based on Greimas’ssemiotic model, but it has been made modification: it is dealt with striking points of the text by skiping all throughoutthe novel. In second level, it is diveded into segments in syntagm of discourses and basis semantic level and it isdeterminated core functions, complementaries, signs and informers of every segments,is stated conflicts,contradictionsandcontracts of segments. In third level, it is studied to attain deep semantic level that indicates
connection between fiction and life, by way of informations in this second level. Thus, it could be declared that
“A?k” novel of Elif ?afak is a project-novel.
