In translational action can only be achieved if the translator can combine certain elements of the translating process with the commond ground. These elments can enable the translator to understand the source text and to transfer it to the target culture in the form of a target message. This study aims at explaning the common ground knowledge which plays a role in this action and which is also an important factor through the process. That’s why the study first explains the reason for using common ground kowledge instead of using the concept of common ground. Then, the aim to use this new concept against common ground is shown with the concrete findings. The knowledge which is the center in the communication is also indicated to show its effect and presence in the translation process by examining the translational action at the end of the study. In the light of presented data, it is seen that common ground knowledge affects all the elements which take place within the communication systems like translational action. Besides, the communication can be sustained among people performing the speech action with the presence of this knowledge.
