VALUES IN LAW AND JUSTICE CURRICULUM AND TEACHING MATERIAL

Law is a system of rules that are formed to regulate social life. In other words, the value of justice is realized and become concrete with the law. This study aims to investigate which values are mentioned in Law and Justice Course curriculum and teaching material. Law and justice course aims at developing law and justice awareness. This study employs document analysis, a qualitative research method. Inductive analysis was used to analyze data. Results of the study show that the values as justice, responsibility, equity, respect, courage, sensitivity, peace and reconciliation are take place in Law and Justice Course curriculum. Additionally, in the teaching material the values as justice, responsibility, trust, respect, freedom, equality, solidarity, reconciliation, love, temperance, with sensitivity to the natural environment and peace are emphasized. Finally, suggestions regarding values education in the Law and Justice course were put forth in the study
