Meerschaum, which was first mined in mid 18th century and identifies with Eskisehir, is one of the first underground mines that the Ottoman Empire exported. This mine was brought to world market for two centuries but after the World War I it lost its importance and began to be forgotten. Currently it is produced and processed in a limited area in Eskisehir and then it is subject to trade. In this study meerschaum, which can contribute to on site development, is evaluated as a whole with its natural, historical, cultural and economical features
