THE FACTORS OF EFFECTING THE JOIN TO INDIVIDUAL PENSION SYSTEM: THE CASE OF TR42 REGION

People want to preserve their recent (present) financial status all their life and reach a more comfortable level. Individual annuity insurance is one of the investment systems that people will be able to apply to reach the welfare level they aim in the future. The purpose of this study is to state the factors that have an effect on the participation in individual pension system and to determine if these factors differ according to participants’ demographic features. For this purpose, the members in TR42 Region are specified as the target population of the study. In the research, a survey has been conducted to 384 participants with snowball sampling and the data gained has been analyzed in SPSS 18.00 packaged software. As a result of factor analysis; it’s determined that 4 factors are effective on the participation in the individual annuity insurance. These are concern for the future, knowledge level, level of expertise and investment and insurance. As a result of discrimination tests carried out between participants’ demographic features and these 4 dimensions, it’s stated that concern for the future differs from the other demoraphic features.
