THE EFFECTS OF THE ZAKAT INSTITUTION OF ISLAMIC CULTURE ON XIX. CENTURY OF THE EAST TURKESTAN GEOGRAPHY

In this study, it has been focused on the effects of the Zakat institution which had been institutionalized at the time of the Prophet on the Arabian Peninsula where Islamic state founded, on XIX. Century of the East Turkestan geography. In this context, on the East Turkestan geography, khanate of Kashgar time especially established by Yakup Bey, "Zakat" organization has been institutionalized under the influence of Islamic culture. "Zakat", collected by Khanate, is transferred to the treasury as a portion of their income devoted to spending Khanate, the other part of it has been used in development activities for the benefit of society such as bridges, schools and mosques.
