PSYCHOANALYSIS OF PRAYING

Praying is one of even the must important one of the acts that human beings who are created with the nature of heading towards a supreme being the almighty and trusting in God carry out with that purpose. Although praying which contains the meaning of appealing calling, begging and wishing is an act which is seen in all religions, it finds its most real expression and meaning in the religion of Islam. Because according to Islam, praying is the believer’s weapon and the support of the religion. Praying is highly important especially as it is closely related to people’s spiritual health. Emotions like fear and sadness are dominant in most of psychopathological indispositions. It is not possible to remove the condition of the stressed spirit that those negative emotions form only through the medicine treatment. It is possible to achieve this only through supporting and motivating psychotherapy. Praying is the best practical way of achieving it. Praying is the strongest way of communication between a human and Allah.
