IN THE EARLY PART OF EIGHTEENTH CENTURY OF THE COURT OF KAYSERI WHICH WOMEN SEEKING RIGHTS(CRIMINALITY AND INNOCENCE)

As known, religious court records are the essential resources at the field of ottoman people structure. Despite the fact that rules and laws of the religious court are based on ?slam and Turkish culture, findings about ‘woman’ are shown at the religious court records. This shows us that ‘woman’ had an importance legally at even that time. In this research, it is stated that at the period which are important examples related to the researches in this field, findings of the legal attempts of women in Kayseri are shown. Because of the fact that Woman’s right are given to women by society and the government, this issue has importance. In this research that we mention and give the examples from the religious court record, Kayseri is tried to confirm as the center of position of women’s in the society life based on the records and findings about legal attempts and information. As a result, contrary to popular belief,women in the Ottoman society had many rights at the law field as many fields as. However women had value in the society and many rights, when they showed an illegal behaviour, they were judged equally as men.
