Because the Anatolian culture is located in between the eastern and western civilizations, it has come under their influence. Turkish art that has been developing over a very long time from the past extending into the present has played a vital role in shaping contemporary Turkish art in Anatolia in accordance with the methods of the time. During the 19th century the Ottoman Empire has had considerable amount of new kinds of modeling in education, experiences in thought, and westernization and modernization. After the first painters were sent abroad to receive art education, that Republican era painters have followed the same path has been a milestone for our country in terms of acquiring new techniques in art. This process started with the return of young painters that were overseas for educational purposes with the onset of the First World War. We can say that painters like Hüseyin Avni Lifij were the first to show in their works the contemporary social phenomenon in Turkish art of painting. The best way to understand the concept of art is by analyzing works of art. Iconographic analysis is to establish a relationship between the topic and concept, and forms that make up the backbone of objects of art, to discover stories and allegories by analyzing the imagined impressions. Iconological analysis is to determine, the era in which the work of art was made, its historical characteristics, the personality of the artist and the effects of that era on the work or art
