Gaziantep; It is strategically important in history because it is on the east, west, north, south trade route and it is the first stop in the transition from Syria to Anatolia. After the establishment of the Republic of Turkey, the city devastated by the French occupation soon began development activities with the diligence and creativity of the people of Gaziantep combined with the possibilities of the state. For this purpose, by accelerating infrastructure studies about economy; in the areas like Land and railway, water network, school construction has been operated. Along with infrastructure works, Gaziantep has economically indicated a big step. People; He has tried to export pistachios, tobacco and grapes to make better use of his resources. Cotton planting areas have been increased and new establishments have been established in the weaving sector. At the end of all these activities, Gaziantep has quickly wounded the wounds of war and realized an important break through in the economic field. The reason why Gaziantep has an important place in Turkey from the economy today is the result of the superior efforts and hard work of Gaziantep people after the war.
