EVALUATION OF ELIF SAFAKS NOVEL THE FORTY RULES OF LOVE FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE ASIAN AND ORIENTAL THERAPIES

In this study, Elif ?afak’s book entitled “The Forty Rules of Love: A Novel of Rumi” has been evaluated in terms of basic concepts of Asian and Oriental Therapies. In this book, there are some of the important concepts of Asian and Oriental Therapies such as no self, acceptance, kharma, meditation. Asian Therapy aims at increasing the awareness of the no self and leaving the expectations and desires. At the same time, it also deals with the acceptance of life incidents and emotions. In the end, it has been observed that “The Forty Rules of Love: A Novel of Rumi” is suitable for evaluation from the perspective of Asian and Eastern Therapies.
