With increasing population and technological improvements ,the need for energy increase day by day. However, there are some problems in providing this need. The energy problem is one of the most important problems of the international community. The existing energy reserves in the world are limited, reserves of fossil-based energy resources will be consumed in the near future. The limited nature of the reserves in the world and the fact that the life of the fossil-based energy resources are shortened have led countries to seek for different sources of energy. The use of nuclear energy, is one of the alternative solution methods to solve this problem. Nuclear power plants have a significant share of the country's energy resources. Today nuclear energy; It is important to be able to provide energy in the capacity more than the width of usage area, cheap and guarantee existence and many energy sources. However, considering the radiological effects of nuclear power plants, the environmental and human impacts, it is a matter of debate how healthy nuclear is as a source of energy. In this context, the article discusses the impact of nuclear power plants on energy security and the he existing risk factors in nuclear power plants will be addressed
