DYNAMISING VERBAL COMMUNICATION BY THE ACTION BASED APPROCH: A SAMPLE STUDY OF ITS APPLICATION IN THE CLASS OF FRENCH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

The verbal communication in a foreign language has had a very important place nowadays. The necessity of verbal language teaching has been acknowledged and its teaching has been tried to be practiced from the traditional approach. But in practice, its practice has not always been successful; it has been seen that verbal language teaching has become a problematic area and continues to be so. Foreign language learners have various difficulties in expressing themselves and communicating verbally. However, verbal communication is as much important as written communication and verbal language teaching is open to further studies. In this study, it has been discussed that the development of verbal language teaching in terms of foreign language teaching methods, the importance of verbal language teaching, the factors affecting verbal language and how to implement verbal language teaching according to the Action-Based Approach, which is the most recent foreign language teaching approach. At the end of this study, a sample lesson plan prepared in line with this approach is presented
