CONSUMER TRENDS AND CASE OF FOOD CONSUMPTION AWAY HOME IN TURKEY

In this study, general attitudes and trends related with food consumption away home of consumers were examined. For this purpose, the study was carried out using questionnaire technique in seven geographical region in Turkey with 1282 person. Chi-Square analysis was used the statistical test. According to the results obteined, all of the participates to survey have consumed food away home. 20% income group which have highest income which are take 21.83% of monthly food consumption away home in monthly revenue. Those who consume food away home, as the choice the place of consumption most restaurants prefers. The first place as cause the food comsumption away home is a special day. According to Chi-Square analysis results, a statisticaly significant relation was detected between habits food consume away home with occupation groups the consumers.
