ATTITUDES TOWARDS ELDERLY OF YOUNGS

This research was conducted to determine the attitudes of youngs towards elderly and the factors causing differentiation in these attitudes of youngs. This research was done with the 485 universty students who applied to the Bilecik Seyh Edebali University between 2012-2013 academic years. The data were collected by using “Sosyodemographic Information Form” “Ageism Attitude Scale”. The total average of Ageism Attitude Scale score was 70.69±8.72 (23-115). According to the results of this research, the attitudes of toward elderly youngs are found as positive. In general there was no correlation between the students’ sociodemographic features and their attitudes against old individuals.
