Considering the history of pre-school education in Turkey, it is seen that it has approximately a history.of 100-120 years. It is necessary to learn lessons from the past in order to make preschool education effectively and to make future plans. For this reason, the problems ought to be addressed historically and the aspects evaluated as positive should be developed by solving these problems. In this research, the problems seen in the field of preschool education are dealt within the context of researches on the subject and it is aimed to make suggestion for teachers, administrators and curriculum specialists working in preschool education. A literature review was made on the internet and library in accordance with this purpose. As a result of this search, articles and the theses found fit fort he purpose were evaluated with descriptive analysis method. At the end of the research, program, school-environment relationship, teacher, management and supervision, and school-related problems in the field of preschool education were evaluated. Findings obtained from the research point out that school administrators and supervisor are not generally experts in preschool education, school administrators have negative perceptions about pre-school education. Moreover, teachers’ perceptions about the parents and lots of negative things in the school environment causes demotivation for the teachers and there are some financial problems, the programs are not suitable for the regions and child development levels. In addition, parents believe that preschool education is unnecessary and they often see teachers as chilminders.
