AN INVESTIGATION ON CULTURAL ELEMENTS AND IDENTITY PROBLEMS IN THE FILM: NEFES VATAN SAĞOLSUN

In this study, the cultural elements in the movie "Nefes: Vatan Sa?olsun", which was shot in 2009 and which had many discussions and speculations at that time, will be focused on. In the film, the reflections of cultural elements such as the Turkish society and family structure, the roles of men and women, and the phenomenon of religion, as well as the conditions under which Turkish soldiers defend their homeland, are examined. Analyzes were made by analyzing the thematic flow, visual and auditory elements of the film. The data obtained as a result of the analysis were followed in a certain order in the flow of the film and evaluated under various subtitles, and comparisons were made regarding cultural differences from time to time. As a result of the research, it was observed that the cultural values and elements of the Turkish social structure were conveyed in many scenes of the film. It has also been understood that the psychological drama experienced by the soldiers who worked for the defense of the homeland in difficult geographical conditions was effectively conveyed through the art of cinema.
