AN EVALUATION ON ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURES AND STAFF EMPLOYMENTS OF METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITIES

Regulations Regarding Municipalities and Affiliated Organizations and Local Administrative Units Norm Regulation Principles and Standards were put into effect in 2007 to regulate the cadastre titles and standards and organization structures of the other local units including the metropolitan municipalities in Turkey. Said regulation aims to use public resources effectively and efficiently, with a view to ensure a balanced distribution of local services, and to increase the quality of services offered by municipalities. For the metropolitan municipalities, under the scope of this regulation, the branch directorate and superiors have been established on the basis of population and the maximum number there to has been determined. In this article, the determination is made in respect of the extent of the administrative staff employed by the metropolitan municipalities, and the evaluation of the obtained data based on criteria such as population and area.
