19th century is a period when our literature gave the early examples in the new type. The same progress is also in history of literature. The Anthology named Harabat which was written by Ziya Pahsa in the last guarter of the century, was acknowledged as the first experience of literature history. In this study, the development process of our literature was taken into consideration, and empasized on the names who earned the new metods to the history of our literature, and especially about literature history books written in the field of the new Turkish literature were evalluated.
