A GENERAL EVALUATION ON GASTRONOMY TOURISM IN GIRESUN CENTRAL REGION

Gastronomic tourism is defined as strategically effective activities that takes place among rising tourism trends contributing critically to the development and image of local people and the place where the activities are carried out, playing an important role in promoting the region and countries with broad effect of activity and creating high-level awareness. Gastronomic activities in rural tourism on gastronomic tourism seems to focus on importance of sustainable improvement and marketing. Local foods offer significant contributions to tourist satisfaction. In this context, the purpose of the study is to promote flavors of the local cuisine that are unknown or sinking into oblivion and contribute to the region's gastronomic tourism by drawing attention to Giresun's local culinary culture. Within the scope of study; the culinary culture of the region is examined, detailed information about the local foods is presented by face to face interview with two well on in life people living in the region.
